The Story of Santa Steve
Fifty-plus years ago, our very own Santa Steve first slipped into that iconic red suit. Just imagine the countless twinkling eyes and bright smiles he's brought to life ever since! Over the years, Santa Steve has sprinkled his magic at homes, schools, and his favorite, the heartwarming Toys for Tots drives. He's been the resident Santa at the Oakland Zoo's Zoolights and Christmas Lanterns, ridden on a firetruck, and made appearances at Christmas in the Park in San Jose
Santa Steve takes his role seriously and has studied up on all the details. In fact, he used to do a show on the history of Santa. His storytelling took folks on a jolly journey through time, changing into EIGHT different Santa outfits to show how Ol' Saint Nick has dressed up through the ages.
And if there's one thing that warms Santa Steve's heart the most, it's working with our special needs children. He's been a beacon of joy for many parents who, once upon a time, only dreamt of having a cherished photo of their little one sharing a moment with Santa.
He's Santa all year round with that genuine, snowy-white beard of his. If ever your little one spots him and shouts, "Look, it's Santa!", he'll pause, share a chuckle, and remind them just how wonderful they've been.
